Crystal Beach Arts and Folk Festival

The Fort Erie Arts Council is sponsoring its 6th annual outdoor Arts and Folk Festival in Crystal Beach on Sunday June 27, 2010. This one-day exhibition will run from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The festival will be held in the beautiful Waterfront Park on the edge of Lake Erie in Crystal Beach. In our commitment to support professional and amateur artists and musicians with opportunities to display and sell their work, we will be promoting this event throughout the Niagara Region and Western New York.

This year we've invited local folk artists to perform throughout the day, make sure to mark this date on your calendar and plan to attend for a full day of great entertainment, arts and crafts from all over the region.

February 5, 2010, Red Ribbon Art Exhibition and Sale will present a fund raising preview with Chef Michael Olson and the Niagara College Culinary Team. Live painting at Perspective Gallery

Melani will be working on a painting at the new Perspective Gallery in Niagara Square mall on Saturday, January 30th.  Her paintings can now be found for sale at the gallery on an ongoing basis.  Other artists will be demonstrating at the gallery on Saturday as well.

Summer 2009 Acrylic Painting Workshop Series
Location: Home Studio, Crystal Beach, ON

Time:  Saturday mornings from 10 am - 12 noon


ATTEND ONE CLASS AT A TIME OR ALL 8!

Week 1, July 11th:  Still life painting... a look at composition
Week 2, July 18th:  Landscape painting... outdoors, weather permitting!
Week 3, July 25th:  Monochromatic painting... a study of light and shadow
Week 4, August 1st:  Creating dramatic textures
Week 5, August 8th:  Portrait painting
Week 6, August 15th:  Creativity... coming up with ideas
Week 7, August 22nd:  Painting on unusual surfaces
Week 8, August 29th:  Choose your own project

Cost:  $25 per workshop includes one canvas, shared use of brushes/ paints/ easels,  and an unlimited amount of scrap paper to practice on!

Ages:  10 and up, beginners are welcome!

Location:  Classes will take place at the artist’s studio in Crystal Beach

Please give a minimum 24 hours notice if you plan to attend, since class size is limited.
Small class size means plenty of individual instruction!




 
CRYSTAL BEACH ART FESTIVAL

Melani will be exhibiting her most recent and most favourite works in oil and acrylic at this one-day outdoor show.  She will also be painting on-the-spot custom acrylic portraits for $50 each. 
This annual event is a group show put on by the Fort Erie Arts Council and Friends of Crystal Beach.
